For SCCA Solo-II in Stock and Street Prepared classes a roll bar must be
bolted in. Welding it in is not allowed. Not that it makes much
difference, as you can bolt it to plates that are welded to the
chassis. This is just one of those little abberations in the rules that
was originally intended to discourage the use of a roll cage specifically
for chassis stiffening, which is not allowed in those classes.
