Hi Simon,
        Just finished removing studs from a block. Here's what I did.
First, tried the 2 nut process...put 2 nuts together, tighten against
each other and turn. Maybe the studs will move. All of mine did on an
18V engine except one.
        For that one, I used a propane torch at the base of the stud,
let it cool and it turned easier than the ones I did the first way.

        Then again, maybe I was lucky.
