Guys,

I posted this question to the "Rounded Lines 73-87" truck group and haven't
gotten a resonse so I thought I'd bounce it off of ya'll. My question is,
can the front suspension from a 1/2 ton be bolted onto a 3/4 or 1 ton?
What I'm thinking of doing is building a crew cab, typically a 3/4 or 1
ton, as a 1/2 ton. I want the passenger/cargo capacity of the crew cab but
not the rough ride and terrible gas milage. If anyone has any experience
with these year models please e-mail me off the list.

I would be interested in an original Task Force crew cab if anyone has one.
Yes they do exist, I saw one at the Pate swap meet a few years ago. I
talked to the owner and he said they were "conversions", kind of like
ambulances or other strange models.

I guess I could just build one. All I'd have to do is find a complete
truck, lenghten the frame, graft most of the junk cab I have to it and them
fabricate the rear doors. No problem, it shouldn't take more than a month
or so to doo all that. ;-)
