Brian,
Remove the horn wire and wire retainer from steering column., Remove
horn button and steering wheel. Remove turn signal switch housing. Remove
the bolts, bracket and grommet holding the steering column to the instrument
panel. Remove screws holding the toe board plate, slide the toe board
grommet and seal up the column and remove the plate. Disconnect pittman arm.
Remove Steering box housing to frame bolts. Now the interesting part. From
inside the cab, remove the three bolts holding the rear of the left front
fender skirt to the rear of the toeboard. Remove the six bolts attaching the
fender skirt to the fender ledge. Remove the fender to dash brace rod.
Working under the fender pry the rear of the fender skirt forward and
outward till' it rests on the the outside toeboard flange. Working over the
fender pry the fender skirt outward along the frame at the steering box
housing to provide clearance between the frame and the opening in the fender
skirt. Slide the steering geer assembly slightly upward towards the
toeboard, then rotate it until the attaching flange is up. Raise it slightly
and slide the assembly forward removing it over the left front fender.
