Is there anyone of us out there that is a carburetor specialist?
Is there anyone out there that has any Rochester 2G carburetors?
More specifically, the ones I'm looking for have a 1-3/8 "(1.375")
bore. I'm also looking for another one that has a bore of 1.408" (i
think). These came on buses, travelalls and suburbans as well as
some larger trucks.. I'm not sure what years these were produced
but I think it was around 1959 -60??? What is a travelall? Anyone out
there got any of these things? I want to put one on a hopped up
inline and need the bigger bore to get the proper flow caracteristics
for this big engine. I may have to send it out to a carburetor
specialist for venturi and jet reworking. I hear they can do a
number of things to get better performance and can even trick it into
thinking the flow is different than what it is. I'm not too up on
this carburetor jargon but got into a discussion with a carburetor
technician and he had the right spiel to get me thinking I might
want to do something with the carb... Let me know if you know
anything.
