[oletrucks] 6v gas gage on 12 volts

I've done it...the gage still works ok, but it is "jumpy"...that is, it
reacts quickly.

The gage is designed so that it doesn't care about battery voltage,
otherwise your reading would be off when the battery was at different
levels of charge....
