IMHO
A good 2 to 3 ton jack has a handle that is long enough to allow you
to position it and pump it up and let it down with a twist... Stay
away from those cheapies that have you removing the handle and
reinserting it into a slotted screw to tighten or loosen the pump
screw.. Then reinserting into the pump rachet. In an emergency this
could be the difference between life and death! Don't use the Jack
stands that have a pin in them its mild steel and could shear... Use
the stands that are heavy duty and 3 or 4 ton and have a height
adjustment lever and toothed center support...The center can be
forged and it should have four legs of heavy gauge formed steel.
I found that the china jack came down too fast and had to adjust the
rate of the bleed screw.
