My truck breaks every now and then. The last time it was
a front wheel bearing.

So, just where on a truck can I find BREAKS? My trucks all have
BRAKES...

:)

I think if you go to the archives (you can get there from
www.chevytrucks.org) and look at posts from a couple years ago, you'll
find a thread that lasted a couple months on the subject of DOT 5
Silicone Brake Fluid.

We don't have to go thru this again, do we?

The consensus was that DOT 5 is probably NOT the best stuff to use, for
all kinds of wierd reasons, but it will probably be ok if you really
want to use it. I had it in my 39 Chevy and didn't have any problems,
but I live in a dry climate. I have normal DOT 3 fluid in all my
vehicles now (sold the 39 5 years ago).

Jim
