A few of these responses have had wrong information in them.
A "constant full" indication on your gas gauge is an indication
of an open (not a short) circuit somewhere between the gauge
and the point that the sending unit in the tank grounds.

2 things can cause this, one, you have a full tank of gas, hehe and 2, the
wire for the guage is groundimg out somewhere.
