     Hi all!

Was hoping someone could help me out with a problem I have on my newly
aquired '66 chevy. It's got a electric choke on a rochester monojet carb and
it only takes about thirty seconds for the choke to start opening. This
isn't enough time for the engine (250) to warm up so when I take off and
shift into second gear the thing falls on it's face. Is there anyway to
adjust the amount of time it takes for the voltage to operate the choke,
like maybe an inline resister cutting the voltage in half, or would that
just keep the choke from operating?

Thanks in advance for all your help!
