Just went through this with my '51 half ton  , I found both of my front
hoses were showing some cracking in the rubber and when I pulled the
front wheel cylinders to instal a re build kit they had a bunch of gunk
in them , I also had to have the passenger side drum turned because of a
slight out of round condition caused by me trying to adjust it tighter
to compensate for the pull left.

I was able to find all the parts I needed at local parts shops and they
were inexpensive , and I also replaced most of the springs while I was
in there and fixed the squeal , stops nice and straight now. I think I
spent less than $60.00 bucks total.
