After getting the grill on my '54 Chevy pickup replaced and paid for by
the insurance company of the fellow who backed into my truck at 5 mph, I
have the parts from my old grill for sale. The parts are in poor to fair
shape, so I'll sell them for just about any offer, or just give them away.
I'm in Boulder, Colorado.
The parts are:
- -One nose (vertical crossmember) with a dent in the center.
- -One nose (vertical crossmember) in poor shape with a *big* dent in the
center.
- -Left and right horizontal crossmembers in fair shape with no major dents
- -Bottom section in poor to fair shape with two major cracks/dents
- -Left and right bottom sections (where the turn signals are mounted) in
fair shape with no major dents
- -Top arch in fair to good shape, with the "CHEVROLET" indent about 95-97%
visible.
All of these parts have some rust and/or Bondo on them, but someone who
knows sheet metal repair more than me could probably use them to finish
out a 54 or 55 1st series Chevy truck. Ping me off-list if you're
interested; if I don't hear anything in a week or so, they'll probably go
up on that internet auction site for a few bucks.
