I don't know why the bearings are so expensive, but I was working on a
friend's model A. The local supplier was out of the parts, and they were
needed fast. We had the part number off the old bearing, and from a new
example. The local bearing company had to special order them, but they came
in the next day. They were only a few bucks cheaper than the model A parts
supplier (only about a $10 part). I've had good luck finding many parts at
the FLAPS. So.... Anybody know why the bearings are so #$#@ing expensive?
