Two years ago I took the heads off the 283 in my '56 3200. Machine shop said
they were beyond rebuilding so I figured on replacing everything with 350-350
combo.
I'm picking up the engine Friday and have my work cut out for me. Mainly,
I've got a 283- casting # 3731548 that ran when I pulled in the driveway, but
is going to the scrap yard if it doesn't find a home. Also have manifold
with 2 bbl Rochester, compound low granny trans. and extra grill and left
front inner and outer fender.
I'm in SF Bay area. Too big and heavy to ship any thing so contact me off
