  I think the location is fine Jim, it looks to sit about 4 inches lower than 
my '59 (with 55/56 sheetmetal on it, guess we have opposing view;) ) I think 
I have about 2 inches from the top of the tire to the fender cutout.

  Is the engine placed, or did you weight the front end down?  IIRC you'll be 
runnning a BBC, and 650lbs should drop it a bit more.
