Hi Brian,

Yes the 216's have the studs coming through the valve covers and the 235's
bolt with (4) bolts on the side of the cover. I'm not sure which one's
worth more. I guess it would depend on the person and his individual needs
at the moment. I just bought a complete running "running gear"....216
engine, 3 spd transmission, torque tube rearend, front suspension with (4)
knee action shocks for $100.00 . The owner had just bought and drove home a
1937 or 1938 Chevy Coupe and proceeded to tear it down to build a Street Rod
so he sold me everything that he didn't need or want. I'm also getting a
similar deal on a 1941 Chevy Coupe with a 235 from my Uncle this Spring when
I convert his coupe to Mustang II suspension, 350/350, Camaro Rearend and
A/C. I installed the 235 about five years ago but it has a leaking head
gasket between #3 & #4 cylinder now. I'm not sure what engine I'll use on
my next project but I'm leaning toward the 216 since I have the Fenton
headers and Edmunds Custom dual carb intake in the shop just waiting to go
on something.

If I had my choice of subframes I would go with a 1978-86 Monte Carlo
because it's width is 58.8 inches and the 80's Camaro is 61.3" so you'd be
gaining some tire to fender clearance.

Joe
