Just had a conversation with company called High Impact film. They are
in CT but are up and down the east coast. They have a 6 mil steel based
window film, in various shades from clear to dark gray. They normally
apply it to residences and businesses for storm, security or blast
protection...Anyway they can apply it ( inside application) to all the
flat glass in an AD..Basically providing protection from UV damage,
breakins, and shards of glass flying everywhere in an accident....Even
when the glass has been hit with a baseball bat and fractured it stays
together..Est about $200 for the truck with lifetime free replacement
even if the window is broken...I will let you know how the application
goes.
