Andy ( and ole truckers too ), I picked up a special set of two lug nut
removers specially made for this problem. They're not cheap ( $35 for the
pair, ouch! ), but the guy at the auto parts store said this is what the auto
mechanics use all the time, he sells them regularly, if not frequently. Made
by Steck, called Lug Off, they're like black sockets with a spiral cut on the
inside, to grip rusty or the special locking lug nuts. I have some very rusty
lug nuts on my Dad's '57 Chevy car, and couldn't get the wheel off. I'll
admit, I haven't used them ( yet ), but for that kind of money, they gotta be
worth it! I've cussed rusty lug nuts before, but if these work, and they look
like they will, it'll be worth the money spent. I found these at Auto Value
parts store in Virginia.
Not sure how your lugs sit, if they're not too recessed in the mag
wheels, you can also get either a pipe wrench or a chain wrench used in
plumbing, on the lug, but only if they stick out quite a bit. You could also
use a grinder on them to create two flat sides to get a spanner wrench on
them ( adjustable ), but not sure how tight they are, might not work anyway.
