My truck, a 2000 Silverado with the Heavy Duty towing package has a
button on the gear selector for TOW, is this not on the older trucks? If
you push it in, besides getting a little Tow light on the dash it drops
the truck out of overdrive. I was told even if I didn't tow, which I
don't much, to occasionally flip it into tow and drive for a while.
