Hi Folks:

The inner windshield chrome surrounds in our GMC come together in the
middle, and there is a small, bent chrome finishing piece that covers
the gap at the bottom. We do not have one for the top - was there one there
too, matching the bottom one?

Also, we did install his stereo system. He had a AM/FM/CD put in an
underdash unit, very clean and discreet, leaving the old cassette deck in
the dash. We plan to get rid of that eyesore and put a stock (or
stock-looking) radio in the dash, even if it is inoperative. As far as
speakers, we removed the stock door inspection plates and had a set of
surrounds built to accept 5"x10" oval speakers. We were amazed to find such
a size! No cutting required, and it all bolts in using the stock bolt holes!
Anyway, even WITHOUT a subwoofer, the bass is so good from the
door-mounted speakers that it "bumps" pretty good and Dusty is happy. And he
saved about $400 (of his own money).

This past Sunday we spend 12 hours fitting the wood for the bed. A lot
trickier than it appeared! We had to mill a recess in the outer two planks
1-5/8" wide and 1/16 deep to fit under the stock angle brackets. No way
would they go in without pounding them, and bending the angles upwards!
Next, we drill, varnish, sand, varnish, sand, etc.
