The troubleshooting guide on the Classic Instruments web page doesn't apply to
TF trucks. The sending unit they are referring to is their own which matches
their gauges. Their system uses a "high resistance when empty, low resistance
when full" sending unit. TF trucks are the opposite.

Smokey,

Classic Instruments has a good troubleshooting page on their website. Here's
the fuel gauge link:

http://www.classicinstruments.net/t_fuel.htm

BTW, I have a link on my website to your hubcap wheel clip how-to page on
your old website. It is dead, of course, since Netscape pulled the plug. Do
you have a new website? If not, do you still have the page? I could host it
on the BillyBob site in your name if you're agreeable to that. It is a great
page and I just hate to see it lost to the ole truck community.

I bought a new sending unit for the '58 Apache, and the gas gauge is still
not
working. Hot wire to the empty side, sending unit to the full side. When I
turn the key on, the needle goes from all the way to the left, to the Empty
mark. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!
