I took my 53 GMC grill apart to get it rechromed. Has anyone put one back
together again? Should I use pop rivets or is there a tool available to put
the original type rivets back in?
Thank you

Hi:
Dave here, with Dusty's '50 GMC. We dismantled the grille for replating, and
we reassembled it with machine screws with wide, shallow slot heads, and had
them chromed as well, as their reflection shows in the bar above them. Used
small washers and nyloc nuts on the other side of each. Looks great, worked
swell! We even made sure all the slots lined up! Teaching my kid to be as
anal as me!
Photos soon, to share with all.....
