I tried Radio Shack when I was looking for these nuts.  Largest they had was 
7/16.

If you go to an electronics supplier like Radio Shack you MAY find 
similar nuts on a switch or light socket that they sell.  Buy the 
whole thing, use the nut, save the rest for some other project later.
