I just got off the phone with a friend who is trying to sell an old truck for
his brother.
Its a 1956 GMC dump truck that was used to haul stumps and other debris at a
Christmas tree farm. He didn't know what model it is, but it has a gvw of
19,000 lbs, a 2-speed rear-end and a pto to run the hydraulics for the dump.
It ran until the head was removed for a valve job just a couple years ago.
The shop went out of business, and he never got all the parts back. The motor
is a GMC 270.
He turned down an offer to haul it away, but I suspect he'd take almost any
offer. The truck is located near Portland, out near Oregon City somewhere.
