Hi- I have a '57 1/2 ton with V-8, 3 Speed o.d.. My column shift lever came
off, but I managed to nurse my truck home in 2nd gear. I have looked at the
factory assembly manual to figure out re-installation but I'm still having
difficulty (I did find ALL the pieces). I'm putting the "buttons" on the ends
of the wires, but can't seem to slip the shift lever over the assembly to get
it all to snap into place. The buttons keep falling off, etc. Any hot tips to
make this as simple as it looks like it should be? Any help will be greatly
