I don't know if $450 it too much for a bumper (but it sure sounds like a
lot to me) but I seen too many new chrome parts start to rust in just a
year or two.  If the chrome plating for $450 is a good heavy duty job and
it will not rust quickly, then it may well be worth it.  Go for quality
even if the price is higher.

 In all fairness he said that his prices can't compete
with "bumper shops" (I don't know what he means by
that). I'm getting rechrome on my upper and lower
grill (3 of the lower bars need repair, 1 of the upper
bars need welding and repair) and all the trim for
450.00. I thought that was a fair price, but I'll keep
shopping for the bumper job. john.
