Having not seen one of these....I may be getting myself in trouble.
Would a polyurethane bushing work? I used to do tooling for a company that
does a lot of truck suspension bushings/parts out of polyurethane, and
recently I've been pouring a few poly parts myself...The materials aren't
cheap, but should make a good part! I'd have to have a drawing or a pretty
good sample to reproduce the part. Might be the best way to solve the
problem, and if you 2 need this bushing, others will too.

Thanks,

Smokey,

I searched high and low all over the e-virtual and physical place and
couldn't find one either. The one I had on my '51 3600 was frayed somewhat
around the edges, so I just cleaned it up, trimmed the mess a little and
re-installed it. I figured that since it doesn't handle a rotating or
moving load at all, it should be fine.

As I was considering all that, I toyed with the idea of making one out of a
block of rubber, but gave it up as being too complex for my limited skills!

If you do find one to buy out there, buy 2 and we'll make a deal!!!
