well, im impressed that your trailer only is 5000#

i would if you can afford-get a performer air-gap edelbrock manifold and
then a 1406(600cfm) or the next size bigger 750cfm? carb(ebay 150$+)
HEI with a spare module
260 cam(stock but a bit more torque)
if you rebuild motor-hyperutectic pistons,
seal that fuel pump oil leak,
get large ford diesel air cleanner assembly from a late 80's early 90's big
diesel pickup. it is a huge 5x4x15? element and sits nice and high above
carb to get that heat away form the intake charge.
if you want to further modify your truck-get fresh air routed from
fenderwell or from in front of rad to get cold air into your carb.for every
10 degreee decrease in intake air temp-you will see a 1% increase in
power.... more power/fuel then the less fuel/speed... so if you need 100hp
to go 60 and your engine gets 50 more hp-then you need less fuel to go 60
than you did before...

OR
if you want-goto;
jegs.com
click on the chevy ZZ4 motor and buy it for about 3600 and bolt it up.
355hp@5250
405tq@3500
10:1, 4 bolt main, with HEI, intake, pan, wp, damper, flex plate,
