Got an email from a nice lady (Heather) in Colorado Springs. They are trying
to dump their 1959 "original 4x4".
I've only seen one pic of the truck and Heather mentioned that it is in good
condition. She did not list a sale price, but did have the truck appraised
"in 1997 by Bob's colorado classics as it is for $6,450.oo us dollars." You
can contact her with the info below to discuss value, obtain pics, etc.
She also included the following information:
"The motor is a 265 and it is out of the truck but yes it is included. There
is a little dent 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch with a little patch of rust and I
notice a few tree leaves on there. Also the truck is a 4 speed. The body is
in good condition. still has original drive train and running gear.
"The motor still runs but is out of the truck. It needs to be restored.
1959 chevrolet apache 3100 1/2 ton stepside 114"w.b 4x4. It was assembled at
the Flint, Michigan production plant and it consecutive production number is
103646. There were very few made."
The dent she is referring to is in the passenger front fender, just above
the headlight bezel.
