Are you needing to know if you left the lights on while you're home (vs
away from home)? If the fact the lights are on in the garage is not easily
visible from the house could you add an outside light - visible from the
house - tied in to the interior lights?
If you need to know if you left the lights on while you are away from home
then of course this won't help...
