Allright so it's a little egotistical. But hey, why not? I just got back
from the shop I'm using to build the frame for the V8 Spit.
After months of procrastination, I finally worked on the rear suspension.
First I added a couple of leafs to the quarter leaf springs in the rear.
That stiffened it up pretty nicely. How did I achieve greatness you ask?
After hours of grinding, cutting, and using my will on several pieces of
steel I finally fit in the rear shock absorbers and my panhard bar. This
is one hell of a trick. I'll put some pics up on the webpage as soon as I
can, but I just got rid of my digital camera so it might be a little while.
There are some rough edges, but this car is going to rock! I just had to
share this with somebody. Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish up the front
suspension, beef up my engine mounts, and work over the steering rack.

I'm adding a new group of people to my list of car people to annoy.
Originally it was corvette drivers. Now I'm including the guys that put
16" wheels on Hondas. I admit that some of those little japanese cars can
be made to rock, but can you image how much it's going to annoy them that
my little spitfire can beat the pants off their car with the $1200 wheels
and tires? :)

Just some thoughts.

I haven't changed anything on the web page, but the page is at
http://www.students.missouri.edu/~will/frame.html
Later.
