My car has one of the same. It's a seald unit, the prop(drive)shaft goes into a cup, there is a rubber bood between the wall of the cup and the propshaft, half an inch in. The cup has a eliptical sectioned ring round the middle this seems to be sacraficial because if anythings goind to hit the tunnel that will. Can't find any mention of it in the Hayns manual or the BL Workshop Manual so if anyone has some more info .... -- James Carpenter Yellow '79 spit wired by a trained marmot |
