Thanks to everybody who threw their 2 cents worth in
about that engine. Apparantly (as I suspected) it was
a Herald 1147 engine.
If anybody ever visits the LBJ ranch and takes the
tour, they will get to see LBJ's Amphi-car that he used
to take visitors for rides in. Apparently he derived
great fun from not telling his passengers about the
car's alter ego and driving it into the Pedernales
River.
