Kevin,
The tub without the doors and trunk lid is light enough for 2 people to
lift off.

However, that might be a bit extreme just to remove the diff.  That part
is very easy to drop.

Just access the spring shackle from the access port in front of the fuel
tank and un-bolt the retaining nuts.  Remove the axle flanges and the
drive shaft from the diff. Unscrew the two nuts holding the front ears
and then remove the single rear bolt.  The thing will literally "fall
out"!

Be sure to change the Database entry when the car is parted out so that
it will be properly listed.
