   I had to make up a plate for them.   There are two bolts near the bonnet
   hinges and that is where the plates are mounted.  So the struts mounts
   onto the plates and the plates are mounted onto the two bolts near the
   hinges.

   Yes, the Civic ones are not enought to lift but does help in lifting 
   the bonnet.  Also, the good thing about having them on instead of just
   the prop is if the prop fails the bonnet comes crashing down.  Where 
   with the struts, if one fails it would still fall but at a slower rate
   thus, hopefully less damage.
