Just added a mechanical oil pressure gauge to my smokin' Spit (smoke out of
the exhaust, that is...) and may still have air in the line if that would
affect my reading.

I installed a "t" connector allowing use of the idiot light (which functions
during cranking, so I know the install is good) and the oil line to the
mechanical gauge. Just to be safe I also got a plug for the "T" connector in
case I need to disconnect the internal line... I have heard horror stories
about leaks.

Pressure warm (~170 degrees F) is about 40 at idle, to 60 with revs. From
other numbers I've heard, this seems low. I'm running new Castrol 20-50 with
no additives. Should I be worried? Just look for a change for the worse? Run
a different wieght of oil?

Thanks in advance...
