I run Castrol Synthetic 5W50 in my GT6 all year round.
THe pressure at cold start up is about 65psi. After
the engine warms up and I get on it, the pressure can
drop to about 20psi at idle but the first bit of gas
and the pressure goes right up to about 50 and if I
get on it even 65. You can switch to synthetic oil
without doing a motor flush. Don't worry about mixing
a bit of the old oil with synthetic.
