I use Castrol Syntec in both my Spitfire and Z-28 and have had zero leaks.
I can't say that about the non-synthetic oils I used previously.

The only anecdotal advice I have comes courtesy of the
Nissan SE-R list. Many members report problems with
oil leaks after switching to synth.

But since we're talking LBC's, it's only a matter of
volume, not occurrence.
