Hello listers! Getting ready to adjust Spitfire valves for the first time
in 24 years today. Trying to remember a few things... Got a new cork
gasket for valve cover. I apply adhesive to the cover side only to hold the
gasket in place when replacing, right? Maybe smear a little grease on the
other side for good measure? I'm also replacing plugs, wires, cap, etc. I
have a new rotor, condenser and set of points, but provided that those items
look good and the points aren't pitted or show excessive wear, I should just
leave well enough alone there, correct?

TIA

Best wishes,

Jeff in San Diego
