Has anyone (in the USA) installed a performance cam
and actually measured the effect on emissions?
I am interested in getting a "fast road" style
reground cam for my MK IV, but it would be
a drag if I had to swap out every year or two
for emissions testing. It gets even messier
if I get my existing one reground and I
don't have anything to swap back in.
For those in the UK, here is an equivalent question:
What are the typical (idle) CO and HC emissions
for a stock 1300?
I have twin HS2s installed, and I can swap in
the old Stromberg in about half an hour, but
a cam is 10x more work...
