My advice to you is to stay far away from any electronic ignition with the
name "Lucas" on it. When my Spitfire was still new it went through several
(4 or 5) Lucas electronic ignitions (all at dealer/British Leyland
expense!). These even included the "new and improved Lucas electronic
ignition". I finally replaced it with a Lumenition about 15 years ago and I
no longer have had to worry about being stranded in the middle of no-where
with a temper mental ignition system.

sounds like the elec box on the side of the dist. They are very prone
to failure from heat.

There just happens to be an entire 45D elec dizzy on Ebay right now!

You can install a Pertronix Ignitor without having to remove the box.

OK...
Runs OK for a bit, then up and quits.
Tank is vented.
Lots of gas.

Looks like it is ignition, but I'll be doggone if I know where my spark
went. Let it sit for a bit, and it sometimes starts again. Sometimes not.
Aaargh!

What are the common things to look for in the Prince of Darkness arena?
Is there something that gets hot and up and quits?

Drive resistor?
Delco D45 dizzy ignition module maybe?
Coil?

Should there be a condenser on the coil?

This is driving me up the wall! I just got the silly EGR thing straight,
and now this!
