        Timing and or vaccuum advance not working.  That's my first suspicion.
After that, I'd check for intake leaks but those usually show up more as
very rough low idles and not as a stopping point for acceleration.  Then
it's on to fuel pumps and floats to make sure it's getting enough gas and
not restricted.
