Another alternative is to simply do what I did - throw away the entire
fan/clutch assembly and install electric fans. Why have the engine working
to spin all that weight? I got two fans (pullers) from Scott's Fans in CA
(look for them in Hemmings - don't have their address/phone with me) that
came complete with all the h/w I needed to get them installed.
They are both mounted to the back of the radiator (of course) and one is a
tad smaller to allow room for the water pump shaft (where the fan clutch
*used* to be pressed on). They move a lot of air.
