Fastback Listers:

With no hinge, latch or seal, my hatch sat evenly in the aperature, 1/16 or
1/8" low all the way around. The gap was even too.

Now with the hinge bolted in place (still no seal or latch), when I close the
hatch the gap is good, but the right side of the hatch is slightly higher than
the adjacent roof panel and the left side of the hatch is slightly below the
roof panel. This elevation mis-alignment is more pronounced at the bottom of
the hatch than at the top.

Is this caused by uneven hinge spring tension on the right and left sides? Does
sliding the hinge spring clamp right to left even this out?

Us fixed head pilots have canopy problems too...
