In going through a number of damaged/destroyed Spitfire
engines I have never seen one that suffered from lack of
oil to the rocker arms. Nor have I ever heard of one suffering
from this.
I suspect this is a marketing gimick that came from overhead
cam engines. A very few of those actually did have problems
with inadequate camshaft lubrication.

What is the collective wisdom of the list on the rocker arm oiler for a 4
cycl, this is for a average (high speed on the interstate) driver use, any
advatages or not needed ??? "FT"
