Have Twin DCOE40s on my spit,
And have the same question. Read somewhere that advancing the ignition 4
degrees
extra is a good rule of thumb.
By ear tuning (backing off the timing to give good runing and no pinging) gives
me 14-16 degrees BTDC.
which is 4-6 degrees extra advance, so the rule seems about right
