Iain, the latter part of the write up of the actual replacement of the
joint is the same. In fact the joints themselves are the same. It is a
bit easier for the propshaft as you mark the two flanges at either
end, unbolt and take the shaft out then follow the instuctions. No
brakes to bleed or other bits to take out. Worst part is getting to
the front end at the gearbox/overdrive. You basically need to get
down to the inverted U shaped plate over the front end and that should
give you access to the bolts. Not sure if you can get away without
taking the seats and carpet etc. out. Make sure you align the marks on
the flanges when you put it back in. No brakes to bleed or anything
else like that, like there is on the two halfshafts.

My only question is if the bonnet is open and it seems worse then I
assume you had the car up on axle stands with the wheels
turning. Anything seems worse with the bonnet open as it seesm to act
like a resonator when it not "tied down" all around. On mine the
bonnet prop rattles against the radiator bracket half the time.

Alan

p.s. looks like you are in the Glasgow area.
