My 3 year old (rebulid) alternator is now only putting out 11V at idle and 10.5
when
I rev up the engine. I remember testing it when I first got it back from the
rebuild 3 years ago and it never put out over 13V, it was around 12.4. I have
open
it up, tested the diode pack and the brushes, they are still good.

Ther is a diode mounted onto the case that is not connected to anything. I was
trying to trace the wiring to figure out how the 2 wire (yellow and black)
regulator
should be connected to the brushes and diode pack.

The case of the regulator is connected to the center brush, and its black wire
connected to the alternator case. The other wire on the regulator (yellow) is
connected to the outside brush with a green wire which is also connected to the
outter most .25" spade connector on the diode pack. That .25" spade is also
the
same .25" spade connector for the alernator harness. The other two spade
connector
for the harness is .5" I assume goes to the battery.

Does anyone konw if this is correctly wired, and does anyone know how to test
the
regulator. Thank.
