Hello all,

  Thank you all for your help and suggestions.  Tonight i will take apart 
the float needle valve "thinggy", work with it a little bit and clean 
everything up.

  Now for the retarded spark...should i simply turn the advance knob on the 
distributor a couple extra clicks?  will that stop those headers from going 
red hot on me?
