You might also get some pea gravel and put a few scoops into the tank
and shake it around to remove scale and other bits. Afterwards, get
some stuff to coat the inside to prevent it coming back. I think
Eastwood sells a coating for that purpose.

Funny you should mention that. There's a guy on the Spridget list that
fills up old tanks with water and boils them out on the gas grill. Says
it works real well for loosening all the crud inside.
